Site Superintendent - Tenant Improvements

VPAC Construction Group is looking for an individual who possesses a vast array of knowledge and experience in Tenant Improvement Projects to join our team as a Site Superintendent. We are looking with for an individual with strong leadership skills that will hold the team accountable for monitoring project momentum, scheduling, proper procedures, quality control, job site safety and has a strong commitment to the team. This person must be familiar with all aspects of construction and have the necessary skills and abilities to coordinate trades and materials, drive a schedule, complete site documentation, and communicate effectively with others.


About the Role:

  • Work with project team to schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion working in partnership with the Project Manager
  • Work with project team to manage all aspects of the construction site, while maintaining a professional, safe, and organized site
  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards
  • Work with Site Superintendent to maintain and enforce good construction standards and quality control including deficiency lists
  • Identify items to be submitted as Request for Information to the Architect/Engineer or Owner prior to problem development at the site
  • Compliance to Work Safe BC Regulations

About You:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Interior New Build & Interior Renovations or Carpentry
  • Combination of work experience and/or certification/training in an industry related trade
  • Supply own carpentry tools
  • Working knowledge of health and safety programs within the general construction industry
  • Solid understanding of current construction practices, working knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications
  • Ability to guide safe work practices in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong leader, able to communicate clearly and promote teamwork
  • Quality Control with a keen eye for details
  • Ability to accurately read relative drawings
  • Ability to use technology, email and learn software programs as needed
  • Desire to continually learn and improve
  • Reliable and high priority put on maintaining and building client relationships
  • Adhere to VPAC Safety Manual procedures
